week 6 as an mission techies

Mission Techies

when I joined mission techies I had a goal to complete the program with more knowledge and skills to be successful in the tech world we live in today. For six weeks every day Monday through Friday from 1pm to 5pm we dedicated our time to learn useful tools to advance are hard skills. The first day was the introduction day the ice breaker to know who everybody is and why they came to the program. Mission techies provides so many tools that you can take from and use it in the future for a tech job. They offer classes such as business communication, coding with Dr java, networking, product management, tech support, hardware, and etc. Working in a team environment where your going to need help from something build communication skills and social skills that would be useful in a company setting . Learning computer programming was a fun experiences because coding is the prime tool lots of people want to learn these days to find that one job that would set you up for life. Doing mock interviews really give you an understanding on what big companies will ask you when interview. Many visitors from top rated companies such as CEO's and employees came down to talk to us about what they do and how they got there, their stories helps me get an understanding on where to start my journey. We visited many companies such as Year-up, Double Dutch, and Facebook, going to this places lights my inner fire which is ambition to hopefully get where I want to be in life while staying humble. Living in Silicon valley is the mecca for tech related jobs. My dream job is to someday work for Google in the product management or marketing department. Taking these path earlier in my life is going to make my future so much brighter and successful. Thanks to MEDA for providing mission techies for the great opportunity to advance my skills and knowledge to make it in the tech world.
