Ont this Tuesday Feb 17th, 2015 I would like to acknowledged each one of you for showing up today to the first day of the program.
We are going to have lots of fun learning together and I am very excited to be your program coordinator/instructor/coach.
Here is a short description about the program:
I created this program back in the Fall of 2013 to help young adults 17-24 understand and learn IT essentials of hardware, software, networking, tech support and coding. Graduates of the program receive a $500 stipend, job readiness training, professional skills, ongoing placement, retention services, college prep and knowledge of how to enroll in post-secondary education. This program is vital entry point for low-income and moderate-income young adults to access San Francisco's technology sector, which experienced 57% growth over the last three years.
59 Young Adults have enrolled in the program since January 2014.
