Week 4 Mission Techies
Week four @ Mission Techies was interesting as usual. We updated our Linkedin with Leo since Olivia was out, my Linkedin looks excellent! I never thought I'd actually be active on that site but now I am gaining connections like crazy.
I had an interview at Bestbuy as a technology specialist. I'm going to call them and see if I got the job, I really hope I did. If not oh well, I have a bunch of other interviews to attend to.
We also had Frog come to MEDA and teach us about giving and receiving feedback. That was great because I believe communication is an important part of team building. They roleplayed different situations, it was actually pretty hilarious.
We also had a homework assignment, to write about the world without technology. That's a scary thought.
Last week we tried to set up Ubuntu but there was a malfunction with the burned cd disk, it didn't work out for my partner and I. I am pretty bummed because I'd like to know how to install software like that. I hope to learn, because we have our tech support soon.
Jason came by to talk about networking, that sounds like something I would LOVE to do. I've always been interested in conferences and mixers. I used to go to psychology mixers and events when I was in college for it. Going to a tech one would be awesome.
Well, that's it for now.
