In this free 12-week (Mon - Fri 240 hour) training program, participants learn IT essentials of hardware, software, networking and coding, plus how to provide tech support to low-income families. Graduates of the program receive a $500 stipend, job-readiness training, professional skills, ongoing placement, retention services, college prep and knowledge of how to enroll in post-secondary education. So this passed Saturday we had a "Get Connected" event here at MEDA. All the mission techies were here. On Monday we did data entry of all the people who came. Then we did tech support for low income families. then Tuesday we did a financial capability were i learned that i need to be careful with my money. then we did code academy i thought it was great. - Raphael Barba
