In this free 12-week (Mon - Fri 240 hour) training program, participants learn IT essentials of hardware, software, networking and coding, plus how to provide tech support to low-income families. Graduates of the program receive a $500 stipend, job-readiness training, professional skills, ongoing placement, retention services, college prep and knowledge of how to enroll in post-secondary education. Today we got to see how to interact with costumers as a lady came in to pick up a laptop she brought, and drop off a desk computer we got to see how to fill out the paperwork and write down what she need it to be done on her computer. I can't wait to put our hands to work on those computers its going to be fun. Today we also filled out a study guide that is going to help us for our coming up test.
