In this free 12-week (Mon - Fri 240 hour) training program, participants learn IT essentials of hardware, software, networking and coding, plus how to provide tech support to low-income families. Graduates of the program receive a $500 stipend, job-readiness training, professional skills, ongoing placement, retention services, college prep and knowledge of how to enroll in post-secondary education. Week 5
This was the busiest week yet at the program. Tuesday we went to USF for mock interviews and apply for jobs at the school. Wednesday we volunteer at Everett middle school to teach families how to use the internet and make a gmail account. Thursday we started learning software and java script.
